BasketBall Connect

Hello, my name is Sidney Pointer. I am a 26 year-old from Chattanooga, TN. I attended Chattanooga State Community College in 2001-2003, where I played college basketball. Then, in 2006 I joined the Tennessee Mudfrogs, an ABA professional basketball team based out of Chattanooga, TN.

This year I have had the opportunity to attend two D-league camps. The Miller Lite Go Pro Challenge in Dallas, TX required a three minute video submission to be judged online. I was selected out of 1000 people based on this video. I also received an all-expenses paid trip to attend the camp. I left it all on the court and was able to gain the respect and interest of Brad Jones, the coach of the Utah Flash. He then invited me to come on September 29 to Utah and try out for Him and the Utah Flash- fee free. I attended the tryout where I came out showing them the versatility and athleticism that they were looking for. I am still awaiting a response from this opportunity, however, I was able to make more contacts overseas because of the performance I gave at the camp.
