I am writing on behalf of Tyrone Barley. He is the complete point guard/combo guard. This past season, he averaged 13.2 points, 3.4 assists, and 1.5 steals for the #1 ranked Vermont Frost heaves in the American Basketball Association (ABA).
Before that, playing in Austria’s top division for Eurotech Baskets Feldkirch, Tyrone was named Eurobasket.com All-Austrian Bundesliga A 1st Team (06) and Eurobasket.com Austrian Bundesliga A All-Imports Team (06). In 36 games, he averaged 16.9 points, 6.0 assists, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game. He shot 55.8% from the field and 35% from the three-point line. While playing in college at Saint Joseph’s University (Division 1- Atlantic 10), Tyrone was named Atlantic 10 All-Defensive Team in 2004, while playing on the same team as NBA star Jameer Nelson (Orlando Magic). This team made the NCAA Tournament Elite 8.
His numbers show how strong he is offensively, however his best skill is his defense. He challenges opposing point guards the entire game, regularly denying them the ball and playing full court man-to-man defense on them. He always matches up against the other team’s best defender.
