I head a Christian Sports Ministry. We have been working in the Ukraine for 3 years and have developed good relationships with many semi-pro and pro teams. Through these contacts we have been asked over the last couple of years to recommend players to these teams for "contract play". Contract values depend on level of team play and player performance. But there is defintely opportunities.

We have just gotten gov't permission to hold a national tournament in Rivne, Ukraine from March 11-15th. There will be 7 Ukrainian teams playing along with the team i am bringing from the US. This will provide good exposure to the US players that will be joining us.

As we are a Christian Ministry, I am loking for Christian players who not only have skills, but also handle themselves in an appropriate manner. These tournament will have national exposure, with newspapers and tv media covering the event. You will have to be able yourself in such a way as to be a positive testimony to our organization and to God.

I will work with all players that are chosen to join us to help you meet the coaches and owners of all the teams that are playing as well as those coaches that will be scouting our players. If you are looking for an opprotunity to play overseas this would be great exposure for you. I am looking to carry 7 players, so you will get plenty of court time.

This is not a paid trip so you will pay your own way. You can ask for donations to help cover this expense since we are a NON Profit.

The cost is as follows - the Plane fare roundtrip from NYC is currently $615. The longer you wait to buy your tickets the greater the chance that this cost could go up. You will meet the team in NYC at JFK, so you are responsible to get there. Additionally, it will cost $300 per player. This will cover transportation, lodging and food while in country.

We do not make any money on this trip. You will buy your tickets yourself. The $300 will be paid to the ministry to cover the rest of your expenses.
