League Suspension: Has the Owner reached the boiling point?

The Southwest Basketballl League will be release a statement towards possible new management for the upcoming 2008 season. There has been alot of rumors and speculations about the upcoming 2008 regular season and the future of Southwest Basketball League. As we all know,

the league will continue towards playing during the 2008 season and beyond but under new management.

"It's important to remember that with any first year business that there will be problems and issues that the league will have to overcome in order to be successful, for example payroll." stated Benjamin Brinkley "Part of the problem is players that don't understand or can't comprehend the structure of semi-pro basketball. Alot of players in this league want things handed to them on a silver platter because they went to practice? There has been so many issues that the league has had to face in the past couple of months such as the player's insurance bills at $184,319 for the month of January?, The situation at LA Fitness and losing the league-wide corporate account, player's not attending team practices, players getting evicted from local area apartment complexes because the players didn't honor the unifrom players contract which stated that players are to maintain a job during the length of the contract and within two weeks of signing the player's contract?, Players wanting cash advancement up towards $2,000 even though they arrived within two weeks of their arrival in Texas, Players with bad credit that can't even get an apartment and that are living off other players in the league through car transportation, living arrangements and/or food?....I could go on but I think the general audience get my point. Finally, The league start date has changed for the summer 2008 so that the JCC and Southwest Basketball League can complete neccesary upgrade towards the facilties. All league activity have been suspened during the facility upgrade. The league has decide to release all players from their uniform players contract and are free to pursue jobs in semi-pro basketball elsewhere. As for the future, I am looking forward towards the new management team coming in and running the league like a professional basketball league as it was meant to be. Thank you to all the players that have this experience meaningful and worth my efforts to assemble the best basketball talent in the country and to all of former players (Hi, Tyler George, David Johnson, and Maurice Foster) , former staff members (HI, Charonda Clark, Leslie Bruce, and Eclipse Deloach), Chris Cardenas of the TPBL and former coaches (Hi, Coach Adam Harris and Jim McClory?) that try to destroy my dreams with your lies and deceptions? I want to say Thank You because I am still here which means the league is still here and without any lawsuits!!

Power Rankings: Who's the number 1# in SWBL?

Just because it's the off-season doesn't means that southwestbl.com's Power Rankings won't be listed. So, we want to make sure we get these rankings just right before the community basketball games on Monday night at the JCC. It's the South Oak Cliff Runnin rebels with an impressive 2-0 record at the JCC.

The Southwest Basketball League ("SWBL") is entering its 11th year as the premier showcase for basketball's most competitive teams and showmen. The Southwest Basketball League is the sole stage upon which both current semi-pro basketball stars and undiscovered players perform. Now which one is it? Is it your 1st year or your 11th year? never mind you are just going to lie anyway. In the sponsorship section you claim to have all of these "Big Time Sponsors", comcast, gatorade,fox, news etc, but as you stated you have payroll problems. How can you have payroll problems with all of that money from the power players. I know the answer to that question. None of those sponsors know you or anything about the league. I will encourage all players to contact all of those sponsors listed and I will guarantee that none of the have heard of you or the Southwest Basketball league. You told me to check my history and history states that the "Original" Southwest Basketball League was owned by a collection of guys and no one sole person, and they shared ownerships of the different teams.The owners were Robert Bradley, Charles Johnson, and Christopher Beaver and the league ran from 1997 and collapsed in 2001. By 2001 The Southwest Basketball League was finished and never started again or sold to anyone as stated by Charles Johnson of the NBA offices now in which he works. You were a coward when you pretended to be Charles Johnson a couple of months ago in your blog, you stated that you purchased the "The Original" Southwest Basketball League in 2004 3 years after it collapsed, that does not make any sense at all. All readers can research these findings at www.apbr.org/sbl and the data will prove that Mr. Brinkley is a fraud,and that The New Southwest Basketball league is a scam. you claim that there were games played on the same day that the league suspends operations on your own website. I know that there were never any games played and I will provide the readers of basketball connect with all new numbers of players that was scammed by you on the next posting when I have gathered them all. You claimed that you had to "Release players from their contracts" but the "Truth" is none of your players were paid and you have been unavailable for over a month. You have caused players to be evicted from their apartments because they were not getting paid. You had 1 coach homeless and 4 players homeless due to your non-payment of any of their contracts. I was just informed by one of your former players that you also ran a scam to get players to sign Leases at the Enclave Apartments, so that you can get a referral of $150 dollars for each person. I don't expect you to be truthful because you are totally incapable of that. that is the real reason why players were homeless as you stated on your own website. You want us to believe that you were bailing guys out of jail? Which Players and I will call them myself and list their numbers here to verify the truth. I know that that statement is false. you can't even pay $400 measly dollars to a school that you used(Metro Academy of Math and Science) but you can bail players out of jail, which in most cases are 3 times as much. I hardly doubt that, to all of the readers and players across the world, God made me to protect you from people like him who will steal the shirt off of your own back if you are not looking. Peace to all players, coaches,and real organizations.

P.S. Who are you going to pretend to be next? I strongly encourage you to return the money to the players that you stole from, because I heard some things that could be potentially life threatening. I do not wish death on anyone and I do not advocate or encourage violence in any way shape or form. God Bless
