The bulk of my concerns are about the total relocation thing. I need to know to what extent will the league be involved in my relocation? Will the deposit to the apartment that I rent be advanced from my pay or is this coming out of my pocket now? Better yet can I receive an advance on my first pay to help accommodate with this relocation? Once I am there and settled how will things with practices and media events go, will I be given a schedule of these events prior to the event itself? I am unfamiliar with the area so will someone be picking me up or coming by so that I can follow them to these events? As far as the contract is concerned, you said in the meeting that any player wanting to tryout or advance to other leagues would be free to do so, does this mean that you are willing to give me this clause in writing attached to my contract? I understand that you are a man of your word but in today's business world, words mean nothing. Also in regards to expenses incurred that will be deducted from my pay (meaning if someone has to meet me to guide me back to Arlington) will I be notified prior to these expenses and given the opportunity to approve or deny these expenses before they are incurred? I understand that once there and in an apartment it is my responsibility to take care of my own daily needs and necessities but as I stated before I would like to know to what extent the league will be involved so that I know how much I can truly DEPEND on from the league. So basically I want to know what you all will do to help me get settled so that I know what I need to focus on doing when I get there. I am unsure of the league's stand point on certain things but is there anything prohibiting you from advancing my October 1st check to help me get settled in? I understand that if advanced now (September 1st) that on October 1st I would not receive a payment but that is fine if I am already living there and settled. I would be able to get a job to hold me over until I am back on a regular schedule of pay along with the rest of the team. Please get back to me on this as soon as possible, giving that we are all somewhat stepping out in the blind on this I feel that if I can meet you half way on getting established and organized then you should be able to meet me half way on this. I hope to hear from you soon on these matters and thanks for taking the time out to get back to me.
