amateur league. the way forward
Submitted by dejireynolds on Fri, 2006-01-20 09:48.
The name is Deji Reynolds. Coach and, technical head of Raiders basketball team. I want to present a case study for amateur basketball teams not only in Nigeria but, worldwide. In actual fact, most of the best basketballers in the world are not the ones in Eurobasket or the NBA. But we do not give these unheralded stars a chance to shine. These players need corporate sponsors especially in Africa where we have a glut of skilled players but, no finances to moivate these guys. We need people and corporate sponsors to assist in building the game on the continent like what's happening in the USA and, Europe. Companies like Adidas, Nike, AND1 and, Reebok should all come forward and, assit the development of the game in these less priviledged societies so that the can saqy they have contributed their quota to th assistance of the erradication of unemployment, idleness, crime, drug abuse and the other thingts through this media. feel free to share your opininon on this topic or get in touch with me. Thanks. |

Finance should not be amotivating facter The problem is the money it aint a game its a business you got to love the game
You make very good points with your blogg, and i understand your plite. what are your thoughts on why major companies do not want to invest in that country. a country shouldn't have to depend on a company to sponsor them, the government should take some responsiblity and look at what they are doing wrong with the athletics. it has to start from somewhere, you should contact me when you get a chance, my email address for your records, dreamteamsports@juno.com
