My first competitive basketball game was took place when I was 12 years old.But I haven't played that long on that tournament because there are more good players than me at that time.We missed the Finals on that tournament. But it is indeed a very good exposure to me. |

I really can't remember when my first game was. But I started with my cousin at a tournament just because I was tall. I think around 13years old but I didn't know thing
Things developed over time naturally.

My first time playing, actually I dont remember, but I do remember my first game. I was playing in my hometown Columbia South Carolina at Summerhill park. This is the court I grew up on, and later became a legend. My first game I knew from then on I'd love to play, and I'd be good at it. I was faster, and more creative than my friends. No look passes, and crazy layups. Reverses, frontwards what ever. Those were the days, now its time for the next level....
Well my first time was during school at around 7. I've yet to play competitive basketball but I'm definitely interested in doing it. Apparently this sport actually has a need for tall people!
My first competitive game was when I was 11 years old. I was so nervous and I only played about 2 minutes and the very end of a blow-out. I was open at the top of the key so I figured I would shoot the ball. As I shot my coach jumped up and yelled out NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As the shot went in extremely high of the glass! Had to be one of the funniest basketball moments I ever experienced.
The first time I played the game I was around five. I was pushed into it. I didn't like being forced to do things. So not long after, I quit and tried to pursue my love for art. I got in my youth and around 10 ½ I realized... basketball was meant for me. I couldn't change the past but I jumped right back into it. I love the game, I love to watch and participate in it. I always challenged myself to be bigger and better than what I appeared to be. That's why when I step on the court, I step in with my heart: all desire and passion. Thank God for James Nasmith, who knows what else could have been invented.
I remember when I started playing the game. I didn't star off early. I guess I was about 15 years. I was quite nervous and most of the passes that got to me were in my face. My coach vame up to me and said "Deji, the ball won't bite you and neither will I or any other person. PLAY!!!!"
I never looked back since then
I can still remember when I was about 7 or 8 years old someone taught us how to play basketball. The fundamentals of basketball like dribbling and passing. That was my first time I've finally dribbled and passed the ball to my playmates.Very nice memories.
