Mr. Harris,

My name is Aaron Gant and I too was fooled by Benjamin Brinkley( aka Charles Johnson). You see, I too played for Benjamin just a year before he acquired your services. I was apart of that infamous Texas Redhawks team. We did play in the TBPL for 3 games against the same team that wasn't even in the league at the time. I have spoken with the owner of the TBPL, Chris Cardenez on several occasions and he informed both Kevina Lawrence( who was head coach at the time and is still a close friend of mine) and myself that even though we played, Benjamin never paid the entry fee in to the league. I know exactly what you mean when you say it's a scam. I have heard reports of Ben making as much as 30,000 dollar plus on tryout money alone. I have previous pro experience, but like you said in your blog a few weeks back, I was looking for a better opportunity. Now I know at one point, you had connections with a Mr. Kirk Pinner of Australia and were trying to get players to go overseas with you. If you are still looking, I would be more than willing to work-out for you or anyone who has connections to overseas play. I am also very willing to work with you on trying to get this scam that Benjamin is pulling stopped at once. Not only has he scammed me, but those closest to me. He has stolen peoples identities for his own profit, used the good nature of people to get ahead, and shattered many a dream. He went as low as to steal someones social security number so that he could put a " business line" out there for his fake league. He is currently trying to do the same thing once again with the SWBL, which is another league he is preparing to start scamming with… If you want more or need any info about anything I have told you, you can call me at 817-723-1940 at anytime. I will be more that happy to talk to you and fill you in on everything I know about this snake.

There are also player warnings posted on www.usbasket.com and www.winwayspro.com, and www.infosportinc.com, do not let this scam artist ruin your life like he tried to do to me. I am waiting to personally sue him for defamation of character and slander, I will see him shortly on that matter. There are also a half dozen postings on Mr.Brinkley AKA Charles Johnson AKA Britney Jackson, AKA Corey Johnson on the TBL on usbasket in the Americas section as well.

To Sylita please verify this information and remove this scam artist form this respectable website. I wish you all the best.

Coach, Adam Harris

It is obvious that Charles Johnson and Benjamin Brinkley are one in the same based on the response to Mr. Harris! Furthermore, Charles Johnson needs to expand his education as there were numerous typos in his blog!

With that being said, anyone interested in pursuing a lawsuit, please post a blog and let me know how to get in contact with you so we can get the ball rolling.

Lastly, we need to get together and get in touch with the proper authorities and put this "Benjamin Brinkley" character where he belongs...behind bars so that he can get screwed, literally!

Yeah its a wise decision to get some info on teams before you get there. Coaches will tell you stuff sometimes and promise you stuff and when you get there its a different story. You cant trust all people but go to the local gym and ask about the team or coach. Usually if there are any real hoopers on the gym they can tell you the 411. Basketball is a small world somebody has got to have the scoop. And the TBL is a huge scam going down all over my fair state. But if you ask any of the hoopers from there they already knew about it.

Any real hoopers on the gym they can tell you the 411? What if a basketball player were cut by a team or a league because they didn't come to basketball practice or they didnt honor their contract? Would they have any animosity towards the team, or the coach, or the league? Sometimes,
the 411 isn't what that is....especially when the question should be: "What did you do as a basketball player in the league?" Negative stereotypes and innuendo from other basketball players that haven't participated in a certain semi-pro league shouldn't exist. Some players don't have the resume to even talk, let only give an opinion. I understand everybody just wants payroll and / or cash advancements becuase they can dribble a basketball but it is equally unfair to any semi-pro basketball league when players dont fulfill the obligations in their contract or don't do what is neccesary to help the team and / or league succeed and prosper. When you have players that have been paid and don't pay their rent...Come talk to me. When you have players that miss practice for two weeks and then expect payment....Come talk to me. When you have players that get in trouble with the law and you have to bail them out....Come talk to me. When you have former coaches that lie on their basketball resume and then have personal vendetta against your league....Come talk to me, but please don't talk about the 411 from other basketball players cause they might not know for real or only hear from one side.

Thank You

I have been in or around all those situations so I am talkin to you. First of all, I was talking about the TPBL I believe. Second, you would be an idiot to go to a gym and ask one lonely soul for his opinion on a particular team and or league in an area. But Since you want to take it personal let me...talk to you. If a player isn't professional enough to work and his respective trade (practice) then he deserves to get cut or fined depending on the situation and rules of the league or team. Yes its sad to say but some players do feel the need to bash a team or league they have been cut from...like I said earlier you would bee a fool to ask one person. Cash advancements!!! The SBL aint the NBA. When is the last time you got a paid for work you didnt do? When players dont fufill contractual agreements you warn them of the consequences and if they still burn you, you handle the situation whether it be court or whatever action your league or team fills that is necessary. We are professionals and grown men so if they arent paying their rent then they get evicted like everybody else in the world no special treatment on that. In most cases the team has a place for you to stay anyway...Im talking to you. When players miss practice for two weeks then you cut them...Im talking to you. When players get in trouble with the law...What are they doing getting caught up in that anyway? If they cant do the time, they shouldnt do the crime...The league isnt responsible for players that cant obey the law, this aint no bail bond this is Professional Basketball...Im talking to you. Why arent you asking for refrences when your hiring these coaches? Its a job just like McDonalds...Im talking to you. And last I was just saying that checking out what the local scene thinks of an organization is a good idea. At this point we are all grown men who can go and talk to league owners and coaches and make an opinion of a situation on our own.
Thank you

Where is my money?! You owe everyone big time and now your on this page blogging and speaking your mind as if you are legit businessman! WTF are you thinking? Do you realize how many grown men you have bamboozled in the past 3 years? I find my way here only to see you trying to rationalize and bear false witness to protect your dirty name. It made me mad! You are a con artist first, a deplorable human being as a second. What kind of person goes around tampering with families' well being and then runs off like a thief in the night? Benjamin Brinkley, thats who! You low down coward!! What professional organization of upstanding moral turpitude and business practice dumps all employees at a whim, using a player to send it in a cell phone text message??!! with no warning and no plan of future contact to properly explain in detail why he scammed so many people. Ben Brinkley of TBL/SWBL thats who. Its unbelievable that you think for a second that your behavior is even allowable in a professional setting of any kind. You, fake thieving bastard/ con man/ scam artist/ scumbag/ lowdown yellow belly coward/ bottom feeding chicken shit home wrecker. You think Adam Harris is a problem? Wait till I see you! I want my money, asap! No more games and no more slick monkey talk. Your going to answer up and pay what you owe! You been selling these wolf tickets to long lil'buddy. I'm going to make you anti-up. Really man, how can you sleep at night? Satin has a special place in hell for trash like you! If you think for a second that you're going to have any type of event anywhere in Texas to acquire new players (to scam) without me being there, then you are a huge fool! I got the whole city behind me and we coming to see you! Where's my money at? I'm gonna need cash only from you coward.

Sincerely disgruntled employee!

P.S. If you had good reason to do what you did, then why are you in hiding? Not answering your phone then ducking n dodging and such? All talk out the side of your neck on the internet? A man would stand forward and speak out face to face to other men to explain his immoral actions. Anything less is suspect to be thought of as cowardly and a scam!

To whom it may concern:

I gots no degree. But common sense serves me better. If in fact all allegations of Benjamin Brinkley are true, then why have you not persuaded this in a civil case or with lawful criminal charge? Why all the "witnessed" hearsay on the internet? If you got proof or any tangible ironclad evidence of these acts of moral turpitude, then produce it! Only with that could you hope to sway anyone. To this fact let it be known, I have seen for myself what kind of person Benjamin is. He has been caring, motivated, focused and even madly driven! So as to honor his words and self charged commitment of creating a development league that allows young men to further reach towards our own personal goals of athletic excellence. I watch a man under incredible scrutiny and ridicules persecution continue to push forward to make his and others' dreams a reality. Guess what? He's not alone, many of us stand with him committed to see this through to whatever end it may face. So don't bother to reply to this message or waste any more of your living life to oppose Texas Basketball League. We are loosely united, but united none the less and getting stronger by the minute. So you can't play on any traitorous or doubtfully thoughts here. Vengeance and sabotage are petty actions that waste energy. You should go out and do some positive manipulation, try to save the homeless or help bring world peace. Don't try to stop our progress and successes............

In short, what your selling we're not buying! So please don't contact anymore of our teammates and co-workers, we have a new thriving business to focuses on. Thank you and have a productive life.

Sincerely,

Corey Bell (not Ben)

You must have no shame. Posting old emails will not serve any purpose beneficial to you. In fact it will only show the world that you, have no morals. How you ask? Let me tell you: 1st Brinkley will have you as an ally and make legally binding agreements with you. 2nd Brinkley will stab you in the back and laugh about it, because he is scum. Truly a lowly bottom feeding scum of the earth type of guy. So lesson to learn is never trust in a lowdown pig turd named Benjamin Stinkley Brinkley. I wrote that email in 2007, here it is 2008 and my opinion of you has fallen lower than that of a homeless bum. FYI Stinkley, everyone on your trail visits here and looks out. So you can not post any of your trashy propaganda here. If you can get someone to work with you, of course it would have to be a bunch foreigners. Nobody state side likes you alive. Where is my money?

Corey Bell '08

PS I bet your death threats haven't stopped, have they? Thats a sign of events to come that you should think about. Lots of people around the country are really mad at you buddy. I wish you well friend and change your evil ways Ben Stinkley.

I have no more to do with that stinky bum. Corey Bell is in no form or fashion associated with Benjamin Brinkley or persons that are! No affiliation to Brinkley. Word up!

Corey Bell '08

If I catch you using my name for any reason I will sue for liable and slander to start. The fun stops here Ben Brinkley/ Charles Johnson/ Brittney Jackson. Now you need to move on.
