Dear friend,

Hope you are doing great. Nice knowing about your interest in Basketball. I know aside your work, you will also be interested in a voluntary mission. I am now the programs Coordinator/Supervisor for DUNK Grassroots and I am writing to introduce the organisation for your consideration.

Childhood is defined very differently in Africa-Ghana. Children grow out of their childhood very quickly and some will never have the chance of experiencing ‘childhood’. Whether they live on the streets or they have to work to support their families, children have little time to rest, play or learn. DUNK- Standing for Developing Unity Nurturing Knowledge gives the children from Nima and Jamestown; two of the most deprived communities, an opportunity to play, learn and grow in a safe and healthy environment using sports as a hook.

Although you can volunteer with us remotely from your location, you can also take advantage of this opportunity to learn new culture, visit historic and tourist sites, make an impact on the lives of a deprived African child whiles you (and your family) relax and holiday in peaceful and hospitable country like Ghana. Besides you can work remotely and you do not necessarily need to travel to Ghana. We wish to welcome you on board to help us in whatever capacity you wish and get the organisation moving towards accomplishment of goals. Please read more about us on dunkgrassroots.org and follow us on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DUNKgrassroots.
